Postdoctoral Fellow/Research Manager

We wish to hire a one year hybrid postdoc and research manager to support the Local Parliament Project, a large-scale election study conducted in the 2015 Canadian federal election. The position will be hosted in the Department of Political Science at the University of Toronto. Candidates should have a completed PhD in political science or a related discipline and a demonstrated interest and expertise in political behaviour or public opinion. The position will start September 1, 2017 or as soon as possible after this date. 

The position is comprised of 40% of time for the candidate's own research, 30% for collaborative work with the project principals, and 30% for research management tasks, including the management of data, RAs, and research workflow. The ideal candidate will be well-organized, interested in collaborative work, a capable manager of research assistants, with excellent training in quantitative research methods and substantively interested in elections and political behavior.
